Wilderness look is gone.

It was absolutely amazing having Dev out to our cabin today, he treated my family and I with the utmost respect, he is truly a class act! We are all lucky to have him on UA-cam! The world could use more like Dev!

Not impressed.

It looks like Disney hired the same Architect the State of Oregon did for the outhouses at wilderness rest stops. Inside is nice, but they need a bit better layout. A Kid's Loft would be killer too.

“Cabins”??? These are absolutely not Cabins. You can’t look at a stick figure drawing and call it a beautiful oil painting. Disney has yet again ruined something else that was once really nice so they could make a couple of extra bucks. Our Family will never stay in these painted rectangles .

I feel like when you repurpose a ride you are then restricted on the innovation. This is why Epic will out shine any refurbished Disney ride.

These “structures” do not look like Cabins. They are 21st century prefabricated buildings. Nothing woodsy or wilderness about them. What would Walt think??? 😢

Not much of a fan of the new cabins, Loved the old log cabin look. It fit right in with the outdoors. Pretty much the same as the old cabins inside just with new decor and they removed the bath tub. Not good for little kids with just a shower.

I think in the bathroom the Disney artwork you didn’t know might be Donald’s nephews. Huey, Louie and Dewey. The updates are beautiful, but I agree that this is not what people come to fort wilderness for. You go for that cabin/camping feel. This is a nice modern trailer slapped in the woods 🥹

Mmm idk the problem is that Disney doesn’t know who their main customer is right now… it’s millennials who want to share their 90s nostalgia with their kids. They keep changing major rides or replacing them.

30/50-year-old cabin needed a facelift !!! It's a lot of money to feel like you're in a old space That could have been in your family for decades and you borrowed from your grandpa😅 Kitchen ,living room, bathroom layout I think are great .They could have added a little more modern rustic to the theme some wood electric fireplace with a mantle something that screams cozy.

The inside is gorgeous, but the outside screams upscale storage shed. I notice it sleeps 6 but only has four dining chairs. .... There needs to be some thought put into how well it will function with people actually sleeping there.

I wish they'd made the inside look like more of the theme the bunk beds are in They scream Disney fun cabin and the rest is a little modern tiny home show . Also if they had like a little nook off to the side for the bunk bed doesn't have to be a full room Just a little separation . But the hangout area I do like.

The new "cabins" do not match the vibe for Fort Wildernes.. Love the old concept tho.

Looks like I’m in the minority here, but I like them! Granted I never stayed there before the change so I don’t have any connection or memories, but I like the idea of our own space (vs a typical hotel) and the natural light.

Dev, are they changing the entire place to DVC? Or, will they still have cabins to rent like the rental RV spots? Christmas and Halloween times are prime for decorations etc. Now we have to miss that?

From a cabin to a modern storage container tiny house, they look nice but I'm not a fan. That's not what you stay at a campground for.

I just heard someone bought one of these cabins. True? Supposedly it was bought while it was being transported.

Not a fan. Having to go from the main bedroom and walk by someone on the murphy bed at night and thru the kitchen is not a good thing. The bathroom should have been in the hall towards the main bedroom or the main bedroom should have its own bathroom. The TV hopefully can be turned out so you can see it from the sofa. The bathroom placement is a no deal for me. The deck seems smaller than the decks on the original cabins. The exterior does not fit in at FW but good for a tiny home elsewhere.

Dev you have been doing a great job with putting out first seen content. Here's to 200k followers! Really rooting for you and the family.

Love everything about these! Such an upgrade! I'm not into camping but always thought this was a beautiful resort but couldn't bring myself to stay. This upgrade has put this resort on my vacay list. Those who don't like the new cabins still have the option of staying in a camper. Thank you for sharing this 1st look!
